hubcaps, curbs and flats
I guess some things I may never outgrow...hitting curbs, for instance. I think I've been doing that since I learned how to drive. With my Escort and my Mirage, usually the worst outcome was losing a hubcap. My cars probably had 3 more often than a full set. :)
I hit a curb on my way home from the gym today, ripped a hole in my tire. It happened about 2 blocks from home...I actually stood in the driveway and watched as the rest of the air drained out of my tire, leaving it completely flat. Would've preferred to lose a hubcap, but the Rover has rims.
Ready for the best part? It's the right rear tire...the *same* one that I popped about a month ago!!
I didn't want to tell J, but he was cool. He said he'll put the spare on for me after work and go buy a new tire tomorrow. I'm considering taking a lesson in putting on a spare....seems I may be likely to need that skill in the future! :)
BRITISH LESSON FOR THE DAY:
curb=kerb
tire=tyre
