I wish I had some exciting news to post, something like what a great time I had with my new friend this morning and how well we hit it off. But alas, it is quite the opposite.
She left me a voicemail last night* telling me she had to cancel. I guess they booked her an appointment for work and she had no choice. At least I know that she wasn't just *trying* to blow me off, as I did see her with a client this morning while I was at the gym. It is stll kind of discouraging, though.
But on to happier thoughts...
Our dining room table and green couches are coming today!! I'm excited that our downstairs will be almost complete. All we need now is to decorate the walls and get an entertainment center or an armiore for the TV, DVD player and VCR.
Also, one of our new neighbors came over yesterday to introduce herself. She seems nice. Tomorrow, J and I are going to start knocking on doors and meeting the rest of our neighbors. Kind of wierd, but we don't often see them outside and I feel like we should at least meet them.
*Maybe I have just been in England too long and am therefore ignorant about cellular telephones, but can anyone tell me how it's possible to leave a voicemail without actually calling the person? My phone never rang, and the call was not listed under "missed" or "received" calls, but there was a voicemail.

Hey...got your blog post, and yes there was a picture of Tony and I on my blog but it was by mistake...I was fooling around with "hello" (the picture publishing program) and trying to change my main picture on my blog and was being very unsucessful, the picture kept posting on my blog page not at the top...so I finally gave up and deleted it. So yes it was there and then I took it off.
Hey, that is the glory of them dang phones. Neil's phone does that to him a lot. Just a fluke problem, not something you can really do on purpose that I know of!
Well, sorry that we have been so behind on reading blogs. I love your Christmas decorations, and I'm sorry about the friend thing. I hope yu hit it off -- it's tough to find a new friend
Yea, if I looked up answers too then I would be smart. It's a given mostly when you do a test that you don't look up the answers unless it says it's an open book test. On a different note I think that you should most definetly get the armoire. They are very cute and it would look better in your new house. I am proud that you are going out to meet your neighbors. I just took a tin of cookies to our neighbors and met some of them. Maybe you need to start hittin the bars to find some more friends thats how I found all my friends. Good luck!!
Nice new picture! Is it green (speaking of the couch) or is it actually brown?
I wasn't even going to leave a comment, then I noticed your new picture. I find it funny that you would post a picture with Pahrump in the background. I find it more funny that I recognized that it is Pahrump.
I was noticing your nice new picture as well! As a matter of fact, I think I took that picture! Funny. I'm sorry things didn't work out, but I do hope that you meet some nice people when you go nocking on doors!! :)
I can't wait to see you both!!! Merry Christmas!
Maybe if you go knocking on doors you could wear black suits and people would mistake you for J.W's. Or maybe not. I like the new picture because it matches your blog color scheme.
