off to a great start!
I don't have a lot of time to post, but in case anyone is waiting in suspense, here's the recap:
My first day of work went very well. No trouble sleeping last night and no trouble waking up in time this morning. We pretty much did new-hire orientation type stuff all day, but should start actual training by the end of the week. I met my team leader and my manager, haven't had much time to feel them out, but they gave me a good first impression. Tomorrow we have a new-hire breakfast where I'll meet even more people. I'm still excited! I think that's a good sign. :)
Well, my dinner is ready. *GASP* I know...it's waaaaay past my grandma dinner time! :) So J and I are going to relax and watch some "Friends".

Am I the first peron to comment?! Your's is the only blog that I have not been the first person to ever comment on. Glad you like your job though have fun with the t.v.
thats cool. i'm probably going to have to get a real job too when i graduate. i'm not getting this degree for nothing i hope!

Holy cow Kaite! Shouldn't you have already been in bed? Anyway, I hope you meet lots of nice people at your breakfast thing. It's really great that your first day went well.
Hmmmm. A grandma who eats at like five and runs like 70 miles in a day, pretty peculier if you ask me. I'm glad about your jeeooerrb.
Good luck on the job. It will certainly make everything much nicer if you like both managers and co-workers. I suggest that you make turtles a key part of your small talk. That will surely show them what an average person you are. Tell them that they jog with you. That would spark some discussion.
