Work and Play

WORK:
Today, my class and I graduated from Phase I of our training. I found out last week that I get to move forward more quickly than originally expected. Five of us from my class will be going to Phase II training with another class tomorrow while the rest of our original class doesn't go until late July or August. It's not actually a promotion, in that we won't be getting raises or different titles or anything, but I'm still very excited about it. I'm sure this doesn't seem exciting, but this week I will be learning how to establish non-retirement mutual fund accounts! Whoo-hoo! Unfortunately, that means that my schedule for the rest of the week will be 7:45 to 4:45. But on the bright side, Monday is the beginning of my new 8:30 to 5:30 schedule, which means I will have an extra half hour in the mornings!
PLAY:
Zachary and Marla will be here on Thursday night. I probably won't see them until I come home for lunch on Friday, but then I get to spend the weekend with them. We're super stoked to have them. We even went grocery shopping in honor of their coming here! Also, I found out that I get next Thursday off work. This means I have an extra day with them that I had not been counting on. HOORAY!!!
Still no news from the doc about my shin. They called me back on Friday and said they don't have the results yet, but I can try back at the end of this week. Can I?! Really?! Gosh, how convenient. So I am still not running. (But I am considering it every day.)

I think that you forgot to get my list of food. Seeing how Zachary probably has no idea. However I am not as picky as well, you and Zachary I am sure what you got will be fine. I do have one request though and I think that we will have to get it on Friday. I know that everyone will love it. You have a blender, right?

I must say, I am quite happy to hear that you got Thursday off, but I think you should definitely stay up until midnight on the 8th so that you can see us! I know I would! I love you!

Congratulations on the quasi-promotion/ advancement in training. We're glad to hear that y'all are doing well, and hope that Zachry can remedy your computer problems.

What are you doing for work? Last time you were in town and we talked; you were looking into HR jobs, and I'm sure I've missed detailed blogs that would have answered that question since.

Hope you "guys" have a great visit together! We'll look forward to hearing about it. Praying with you concerning the choice of a church home there. What a big, tough decision! We know God has just the place for you, and will give you a peace when you find the right one.
We had a great time out on the coast with your folks last weekend, and are next headed for Shreveport and Dallas for next week.

I hope your visit weekend is going well. We also had a good time with preacher family and retirees in CA last weekend. And you know what? Just last night, I was saying to my beloved that I wish someone in the famil yknew how to set up non-retirement mutual funds. Hmm. Small world.

Establishing non-retirement mutual fund accounts is a pice of cake. Don't worry about it, I do it all the time. It an actually be very theraputic.
